The infrastructure team of UBS Asset Management (UBS AM) is part of UBS AM's Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) business unit, one of the world’s leading real asset investors. The infrastructure team of REPM is currently managing c. USD 5.6bn of institutional investors commitments across various infrastructure debt and equity products.
The Infrastructure Debt Platform (IDP) is part of REPM Infrastructure, and has been managing private infrastructure debt since its launch in 2014. The business was among the first dedicated infrastructure debt fund initiatives to be established in Europe with a strategy focused on investing in secured private debt in the sector. IDP focuses on middle-market origination of primary private deals though requiring extensive credit analysis and structuring. The original fund, Archmore Infrastructure Debt Platform (IDP I) of EUR 570 million was launched in 2014 and quickly deployed in line with targets. IDP I was followed by Archmore Infrastructure Debt Platform II (IDP II), raised and closed in 2019 at the hard cap of EUR 1.0 billion and oversubscribed. Both funds have been among the top performers in the European infrastructure debt market. These strategies focused on investing in senior secured, investment grade quality, infrastructure credits and have been complemented in 2021 with a strategy investing in high-yielding, non-investment grade infrastructure credits (IDP High Yield).
