Operations Director
Bedford School ↗£65,000 – £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Bedford School is looking for an Operations Director to be responsible for ensuring the effective leadership, coordination and running of operation support services and estate management across Bedford School.
Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations (DFO), the Operations Director will oversee all aspects of the estate, masterplan and will manage and oversee the design, construction, implementation and maintenance of Bedford school’s operating structures and procedures.
The Operations Director will advise the DFO and Headmaster on all aspects of school operations and the implementation and delivery of the school operations strategy. This role will involve oversight of the estates, maintenance, catering, grounds, domestic, porters, security, and commercial enterprises teams, monitoring and evaluating practice and ensuring the development of high-quality function in each area.
The role contains a significant leadership element and thus requires exceptional people-management skills including diplomacy, tolerance, and stability as well as outstanding business and administrative expertise.
