Household Support Fund Decision Maker
Full Time – 37 hours per week
Fixed Term - 31st March 2024
Grade 7 - £26,845 to £28,371 per annum

Community Services. We are looking to recruit a Household Support Officer on a temporary basis until the 31st March 2024, to a position available within the Welfare Benefit and Debt Advice Team, located in the Town Hall in Preston.

Given the impact of the Government’s cost of living agenda and the funding streams being administered by Preston City Council, this position is key to service delivery.

The Household Support Decision Maker is required to ensure the applicants meet criteria set by Lancashire County Council and DWP, consider the immediate need of the applicants and make awards where appropriate.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate, with the ability to manage their own workload to meet tight deadlines. A good knowledge of the Household Support Scheme, good communication skills and a customer care attitude are considered essential criteria for this position.
