Leisure & Culture Dundee is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) SC042421. It was established by Dundee City Council in July 2011 to deliver leisure, sports, library, information and cultural services for the city.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Library & Information Officer, who will lead on the development and promotion of services in Broughty Ferry Community Library including the delivery of reading and learning activities and actively seek opportunities to develop partnerships and projects. You will also be responsible for the supervision of a team of library staff.

Requirements

You will have 2 Highers or equivalent or SVQ level 3

Responsibilities

As part of Leisure & Culture Dundee’s Library and Information Service provide an efficient, responsive and courteous service to the users of the Service.

The Individual

You will have experience of working in a library or information environment, have good communication, organisational and customer care skills and the ability to motivate and use own initiative. You will also be adaptable and creative and be skilled in the use of social media.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Leisure & Culture Dundee.
