Plant Area Assistant
Homeleigh Garden Centre ↗We are after someone that is multi skilled and able to adapt to whatever role they are put in. A good knowledge of gardening and plant care is essential - advising customers on their plant purchases would be a large part of this role.
The job is a seasonal part time position and would include weekends.
Anyone applying for this role should have a good approach to customer service and have experience in dealing with members of the public. The applicant should have a good understanding of plants and other garden related products. Till work will be required occasionally (training will be provided.) Heavy lifting maybe required to assist customers with goods to their vehicle and to carry out the occasional delivery.
The following skills and qualifications would be beneficial but not essential:-
- Gardening based qualifications. I.e. chainsaw certificate, pesticides license.
- Forklift license
- Telescopic handler certificate
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)
- Full UK driving license (HGV license would also be beneficial)
- First Aid
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract
Salary: £10.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
