Manual Operator

Job Description:

To assist in the production of Piston Forgings from billet to fully machined pistons, work as part of a team preparing forging surface to customer specification and working to an aerospace standard.

The Role:

• Assist with the setting of the piston forge and prepare tooling for production.
• Work as a team to meet production deadlines.
• Use hand tools to manufacture forgings customer standard
• Use manual machinery to prepare metal surfaces (Linishers & wet/dry Shot blast)
• Inspect parts for conformation and record issues
• Read and follow work instructions
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through the team.
• Follow and complete TPM instructions and records

Candidate Profile:

• Automotive background preferred although not essential as full training will be provided
• Have a keen eye for detail and be an effective communicator
  
• Able to work from clear Engineering work instructions.
• Excellent Time keeping.
• Production line experience is preffered.

The role is to work permanently on double days.

Shift 1
Monday to Thursday: 06:00 to 14:00
Friday 06:00 to 13:00

Shift 2
Monday to Thursday: 14:00 to 22:00
Friday: 13:00 to 20:00
