Environmental Technician - Entry Level
Construction Testing Solutions ↗Due to recent expansion and increasing workload we are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Laboratory Technicians to join our team. Whilst prior/current experience of working in an environmental testing or analytical chemistry laboratory would be highly advantageous, previous experience is not essential as we will provide all of the training necessary for you to succeed and progress.
The position is based in our Environmental Laboratories Division, working at our Leicester City centre laboratory.
The Nicholls Colton Group is a thriving business providing specialist testing and consultancy services to the construction industry. Now celebrating over 50 years in business, we are busier than ever, and looking for additional staff throughout the Company.
Lab Technician duties and responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of soil, water and construction material samples ready for chemical analysis
- Ensuring that all laboratory testing is carried out to high standards of safety, quality and efficiency
- Ensuring that adequate and proper records are kept and filed correctly
- Ensuring test equipment is checked, cleaned, calibrated and suitable for use
Lab Technician Role Requirements:
- Good oral, written and numeracy skills
- GCSE grade C or above in maths and science (or equivalent)
- Computer literate
- Previous laboratory experience would be advantageous
Pay £10.50 per hour
40 Hours per week permanent position
