Household Claims Complaints Handler

Do you remember the game bulldog?

Bare with me here. Imagine that one side is the policy holder, making a complaint about a claim.

And one side is the FOS.

You’re in the middle. Stopping the claim from going anywhere near the FOS.

Well, this household insurer are looking for a bulldog. Is that you?

You’re looking for something slightly different. And given you have a background in household claims and complaints handling at some point in your career, then this is a role that’ll encompass both.

You understand how a household claim works so you can provide that technical viewpoint.

You’ll be pleased to hear that as the Claims Complaints Handler you won’t constantly be on the phones taking complaint after complaint or claim after claim. There’s a team both internally and externally that take that initial call.

And as soon as the customer relations team of 3 identify that it’s a claims complaint, that’s when it’ll be passed to you. They’ll need you to review it before passing it back to them to send the FRL.

Nipping it in the bud before it becomes more formal.

Obviously, it isn’t always as easy as that and there will be times you’ll need to take over and speak to customer directly to investigate further.

It could be anything from reviewing a Loss Adjusting complaint, to a more formal FOS or CEO complaint.

All in all, it’s not your average Claims Complaints Handler position.

But you’re not your average Claims Complaints Handler, you’re a bulldog.

To add, this is a remote role with the odd trip to the office based in Stoke.

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
