Textile Operative
THH ↗We are currently looking for a textile operator from a non woven background, do you have experience in textiles?
Induction and initial training hours
08.00 hrs to 16.30 hours Monday to Thursday which includes a 30 minutes break (not paid)
Friday 08.00hrs to 15.00 hrs which includes a 30 minutes break (not paid)
= 38.5 hours per week.
Shift pattern when competent:
Weekly rotating morning and afternoon shifts
Monday to Thursday 6-2 or 2-10 ,
Friday 6-1 or 1-8
Training:
On line by other current competent machine operators, training period could be up to six months dependant on aptitude and progress of the individual.
Overtime:
No overtime is currently or historically worked.
Rate of pay:
Fully trained rate £13.12 per hour , during training 80% of fully trained rate (£10.50 per hour).
Holidays:
Fixed shutdown periods comprising
1 x week Easter,
1 x week Spring Bank,
2 weeks summer (last week July & first week August)
1 week October ,
Christmas & New Year
plus 2 x Floating days.
+ Coronation Bank Holiday
Suitability:
Need some previous experience in carding and or felt / non woven manufacturing
Fork Lift Truck licence would be desirable.
