Operations and Transport Manager

Colour Sound Experiment Ltd provides Lighting, Video and Rigging hire and design in the UK and around the Globe.

The Role: An opportunity has arisen within our for an industry experienced individual who is looking to join a busy organisation with a varied workload. Experience within a similar role in the same industry preferred.

Role responsibilities:

• Managing a small fleet of four vehicles, route planning for maximum efficiency
• Scheduling and managing drivers throughout the day, both staff and agency
• Ensuring full compliance with the Operators Licence, maintenance scheduled for vehicles and driver/vehicle logs kept up to date
• Booking third party couriers, pallets and postage when not possible or cost effective to deliver internally
• Responsible for warehouse jobs overview, coordinating departments to prepare equipment to excellent standards and for timeline planning
• Responsible for warehouse tidy, keeping it clear, using space efficiently and proactively planning for prep
• Line Manager to Warehouse Heads of Department

Desirable

• Previous Transport/Logistics experience
• Exposure to managing a team of drivers in a busy environment
• Experience within Logistics/Freight/Courier, UK and International
• Experience within in a similar role in the same industry

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
