Trainee Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship

South West Geotechnical - an independent consultancy, contractor and UKAS accredited laboratory providing comprehensive ground investigation services.​

Due to increased workload, we are now looking for an Apprentice Laboratory Technician for our Tiverton Laboratory.

We are looking for an outgoing individual that is seeking a role in a laboratory.

The role will largely focus on assisting the technicians prepare and test samples of soil and rock to nationally recognised standards.

The ideal candidate will be methodical in their approach, organised and a team player.

Being physically fit with good literacy and numeracy skills are desirable.

Hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday.

Salary: Minimum wage for age.

This role will include studying on the job for the gold standard Level 3 Laboratory Technician apprenticeship, which will qualify you in this role and give you eligibility to Registered Science Technician (R.Sci.Tech.) status. • 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
