Home Carer & Companion

Part time carer and companion for Lady in her 80s, with dementia.

The client lives with her son and daughter-in-law in their home. She requires daily assistance in dressing, personal care etc. and companionship to go on trips out and to keep her occupied during the day.

The position is for 2 - 3 days per week , including some weekend and evening cover. The ideal candidate would become part of the household and help out flexibly as and when needed, with set hours to be agreed between both parties.

Currently cover is needed on Thursdays from 9am to 6pm, late afternoons on Tuesday and Wednesday and occasional weekend and evening cover.

Some overnight stays and occasionally several days cover are required to provide respite to the family carers. A residential placement may be available for the right person.

You must

• Have experience in personal care.
• Have a car and clean driving licence.
• Have clear spoken English.
• Be happy to make trips out to cafes, garden centres etc.
• Be available on 2 or 3 days per week, including Saturday or Sunday.
• Be happy to stay overnight on occasions.
