Maver UK is a long-established Fishing Tackle brand based in Redditch...We are looking for a General Manager to oversee staff, budgets and operations.

General Manager responsibilities include being hands on... formulating overall strategy, alongside the Managing Director, managing people and establishing policies.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day operations
Work alongside MD to design strategy and set goals for growth
Maintain budgets and optimize expenses
Set policies and processes
Ensure employees work productively.
Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
Direct the employee assessment process
Prepare regular reports for upper management
Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
Provide solutions to issues (e.g. employee conflicts, loss of business to competitors)

Requirements and skills needed:

Proven experience as a General Manager and leader.
Experience in planning and budgeting
Knowledge of business process and functions (Finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
Strong analytical ability
Excellent communication skills
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
Problem-solving aptitude
Sage and Microsoft office proficient.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
